Hey all-
We are all safe and tired after almost 48 hours of travel. Yesterday we had a layover of 10 hours in Moscow so we took a train downtown and then subway. That was an adventure. The subway (also a bomb shelter) is beautiful. Now we are in a small town of Gorno. I doubt that there is another American around here. This is real Russia here, not a tourist travel except to the local Russians. About 52 degrees of latitude, similar to Canada about 700 miles north of Rochester.

We have eaten borsch a few times already and a few other very Russian dishes.

Time for a nap. Be sure to blog us and the messages will be passed onto us.

Hi,

Glad you arrived safe and sound. All is well here--please tell Dave H. that his sister has a project for him when he comes home---nothing serious but time consuming !
