LOCATION: Moshi, Hotel. Shower. 8 hour hike.
Yes, we are all safe and in town. Trying to shower the dirt off of us. We will put up two more posts on safari.
This photo is to share with you some of the 1500 names that went to the top of supporters and other honored ones. What a privilege this has been!

Mom is really glad that you are off the mountain (although you guys may not be so glad about it!) She does want you to come home and "stop all this foolishness."
To everyone - enjoy and savor all your foolishness!
Dale (Bonnie's Sister)
Congratulations Bonnie !
Gordon — Tue, 02/24/2009 - 22:59Hi Bonnie,
The summit ! That is terrific ! We look forward to giving you a "conquering hero's welcome" both at the church and at our Monday Breakfast ! Leave it to a mom to call adventure and mission "foolishness" ! I guess that love for our children never changes.
I am proud of you, my friend.

hleblond — Tue, 02/24/2009 - 19:51It is so exciting to know that you have accomplished your goal and can now just relax and enjoy the rest of the trip. I can't remember if I told you I found a new Golden Margarita Mix and can't wait to have one (or four) with you to celebrate your success! You are a fighter and a great friend to all of us. We miss you and anxiously await all the great stories and pictures!!!

Dale Heffer — Tue, 02/24/2009 - 20:17Hi Bonnie,
We all hope you are enjoying your (now) memories of the climb. Bryan has sent you messages and I helped Stephen send a message on Sunday under my name. I think he forgot to sign his name so you may have missed that it was him (although the content is unmistakable). I know Bryan was following the trip and he asked someone to transcribe your audio. I can only think that you have not received all the messages. It is hard to follow as the replies come under the various posts you guys have sent! Look through all of them (there's hundreds!)
Love,
Dale

DESI AND ALEX--AMAZING
Alyce Jane Steele — Tue, 02/24/2009 - 21:38Mom here too! I'm finally home here and off that bus! What a long ride, but actually compared to what you have gone through -- elegant and extravagant. I had such a difficult time leaving Miu and Pumpkin. I cried last night. We bonded so nicely, probably too nicely for me. When I left this morning with Juju both cats were under your bed. I washed your sheets and they are on the rack in the guest room.
Auntie Jane sends her love and is so thankful that you and Alex are back in the hotel. Nobody could be happier than us. Can't wait for your return! You must be on an incredible high right now from the whole thing -- so proud of you. Love, Mom
KEITH

KEITH--I CAN'T IMAGINE THE FEELING
sjdluke — Wed, 02/25/2009 - 00:09Wow you guys--Congratulations to All--That is truly teamwork at it's best!!!!
I wouldn't ask you to put into words how you felt when you hit that summit besides "oxygen-deprived" because I don't think the words exist in our vocab.
This kind of accomplishment is only acheived by the few and the proud... I feel honored tp call you my brother--I have been back at work bragging today!!
I'm not sure how you come down, go on an African Safari, and then return to Upstate NY and carry on like "Business as usual"
Your lives have been altered forever and I can't wait to see where this leg of your life's journey catapults you to next--THE SKY IS CLEARLY NOT THE LIMIT!!!
Now you get to enjoy the pure splendor that is some of Mother Nature's Best
Work!!!!
I can't imagine a better way to slowly come down from that Mountain High!!!
Enjoy every minute~You So Deserve It!!!!
Much Love, Sue
WAY TO GO!!!!
