LOCATION: Sierra Negra Volcano on San Isebela

Strange contrast huh? Penguins and volcanoes? Only in Galapagos could this exist. Today we went up 3000 feet to the rim of the volcano. Below in the 5 mile wide crater was a huge flow from 3 years ago. We hiked to a side cone where we could see in the distance a current flow that went off 4 days ago. Very interesting day.
