Angus and Scott made the Summit of Mount Everest!!! This is Susan here. I was out with Colin at swimming lessons and missed a call from Scott. He reported that he,Angus and Al made the summit and more importantly were back at camp 4 on the South Col safe and sound. Scott said "it was good, it was really hard but it was good." Despite the fact that he sounded exhausted he also sounded very happy and excited. They are heading down to camp 2 tomorrow and I am sure he will post then. Thank you all so much for your support....it obviously helped!! Susan

Paul Adler — Wed, 05/21/2008 - 22:01Hi Scott,
Awesome news that you have stood on top of the world. It's a pretty impressive view from the top isn't it and really worth all the pain, risk & effort. But how daunting does the ridge look when you get to the South Summit?!! You had Fiona & I a little worried when there was a delay in hearing about your progress, but very happy to hear that everything is fine. No doubt there will be quite a story about how the summit day unfolded, and I can't wait to read it.
You have done a great job with your updates. Really vivid descriptions of what you were experiencing brought us all along on your journey. It sure brought back memories for us!
Well done and enjoy a well earned rest at the Col and then journey safely down to C2 and onto BC.
Paul Adler.
Hooray! Hooray!!
