Altitude: 3985m
weather - sunny, cloudy late. 18 degrees.
Namaste all - which means hello. climbed from Tengboche to Pangboche today which was a relatively flat section. A lot of tourists in this section and a lot coming down from EBC. Feeling the best I have since leaving ktm, so I think things r looking well for the trek into EBC, all fingers r crossed.
My sherpa - chhombu is with me we r getting to know each other well, even thou I cannot speak nepalese well, we r having fun finding out how to communicate. a lot of finger/hand movement.
we only walked on the trail today for 2 hrs, I wanted to go higher but chhombu is under instructions only short treks till we meet rest of group.
they should be passing over the cho laa pass tomorrow and in 2 days time we will meet them in lobuche. looking forward to seeing them and curious if any others r sick or all healthy.
I hope all is well at home. to u all - ur msgs r great read- giving me a lot of energy to keep going and nail this peak....haha.
coz I have a lot of time to think, I have adopted pete murray song - better days as my official song while I’m here in nepal. and in footy terms I’m playing for the away team and we r currently bout half way thru the season, (ebc and island r the finals), so I’m just taking it one dat at a time, building 4 the finals!.
miss u all - I wonder how the working ppl r going...haha.
till tommorrow take care .

kand2412 — Wed, 10/17/2007 - 00:57Hi there you....
Glad to hear that things are looking up and that you are following the strict instructions of your sherpa.....I know how stubborn you can be!!
Are you still getting my text messages & how is the ipod going?
Things here are going ok and the "working people" are surviving....just. I think I need a holiday though and I've only been back for one week! Mt Noorat sounds awesome.... Should I make a reservation??
Everyone at home is following your trip and have all their fingers and toes crossed for you.....Hang in there & I know you'll be fine!!
Take Care & love you heaps

Kicking Goals
Simone — Wed, 10/17/2007 - 04:14Great to hear your on the mend Kade and that you are feeling your best yet! Your doing so well considering some slight set backs- I say your kicking lots of goals in your footy match!!!! Just make sure you take time out on the pine to catch your breathe and regroup. You must be seeing some amazing sights on top of the world.
Kade remember the quote you sent me awhile ago:“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor, catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream.” Mark Twain
Go for it!
Love Simone Al, Ash, & Georgia xxx
