On to Camp 2 - Shira Camp 11,500 feet - Alison here

A view of the mountainWhen I had cancer I only took one moment at a time because you never knew what would happen next.  Climbing today was like that.  To do well I only focused on the beauty around me and the wonderful people with me.  Although I was aware of the hike, I had to stay tuned to each moment.  After I had cancer and done three marathons, I wanted to do something really special.  Well, I'm sure doing that today!

Hi to Robin and Patrick

Hope you're still climbing strong. Remember, Robin: Kwa Moyo Wote...Swahili for "with your whole heart"... that's all you need to do--dive in with your whole heart, and the rest will follow. You're in my thoughts....

To You All

I think it is a wonderful thing you are doing. My friends Judy Nadal and Betsy Deline (Wickwire girls) sent me an email and told me about your wonderful climb in memory of cancer survivors. Their niece Christy was a dear friend and person to me and your climber, Laurel has her picture with you. I want to wish you all the luck in the world on your climb. It's nice to have people in this world like ALL of you. God Bless, Candy

Dear Flanigans, Take one foot and put it in front of the next foot. Keep doing that for as long as you can. It is what will take you to the top. We are still sending our twinkles of strength to keep you on course! Love from the Second Graders of Harley.
