The adventures continue. As we were sitting watching a wild ram high on the hillside, a Llama and his entourage came by. He blessed us and us and went on his way down the trail. We visited Tengbouche monastery. It houses all ages of monks. We had the amazing opportunity to visit The Llama Ringboche in his home and talk with him. Everest is still seen behind us but getting smaller. We ate yak steaks and drank yak butter tea. Yum! Sort of. We are staying at Kami's house today in Khumgden. We stopped to visit the boarding school of Dawa, Lakpa's son. Our days are still filled with wonder.

Tuskers — Wed, 11/26/2008 - 16:03Hope you all have had a good night's sleep and are well rested. Glad the 'adventures' still continue .... becuase in some ways the descent after such an exhilarating trek / climb can prove to be more difficult! Hope someone is organising a big party at Pakhding or Lukla and has managed to stock up plenty of Everest Beer!
When you get to Kathmandu, you may want to check out 'Tibetan Incarnations' - a music CD - from a good cd store! You are bound to have heard it play at many places during your trip. It is 'one' of the 'many' souvenirs that you must take back home! May be an extra copy or two for Team 'X' (USA)!!!
Any chance your Organisers can plan a sunset viewing trip to Nagarkot?
Take care - Lots of Love - Team 'X'

Roue — Wed, 11/26/2008 - 16:50Gary, I want to personally congratulate you. You are I think the only man that I know that says that he is going to do something (that seems impossible to me LOL) and goes for it. No matter how big or small the journey you are right there. I also have to congratulate all your fellow trekkers. You all are so amazing. I continue to look up all the towns an villages that you are seeing. I have also checked out some trekkers on You Tube. Have you guys climbed across on those little latters? OMG are they ever scary to watch ppl go on them. Gary to you and your new exteneded family I want to wish you ALL a very Happy Thanksgiving. I'm sure it means more to you all this year than any other. Keep up the good work and my God keep you all safe and warm. PARTY ON......LOL

I'm thinking there are tons of people who will be thinking about you guys celebrating this Thanksgiving as you get closer and closer to Khatmandu - I know we will. To our trekkers - we send wishes for a very happy thanksgiving and to all who have been writing in over the last 2.5 weeks as well. I hope Mel has a great visit south.
