It was a cold night. Now we are headed back to Katmandu with some good days in between. Today we go to Tengbuche, the largest monastery in the Khumbu area. It is mostly downhill. Spirits are high. We are all well supplied with O2. Yesterday we called in live to the local radio, PXY in Rochester so people could hear us on their drive to work. It is wonderful to see how many have checked in with us each day.

Tuskers — Tue, 11/25/2008 - 23:47Namaste from London!
Congratulations to one and all in the team! Well done! Can't wait to hear all about this trip and see all the photographs.
I am really pleased you guys have again managed to alter your plans and decided to spend a night in Tengboche! It is an amazing place perched on a strategic ridge with the most beautiful Monastery in Kumbhu.
I am sure you will agree once you have paid your visit and lighted a butter lamp - most beautiful and exquisite statue of Buddha! Please visit the shop next door and if time permits, watch the small film on the place.
Take care! Lots of Love - Team X

Lisa and fellow Trekkers --- You Go!!
Kennlaff@comcast.net — Wed, 11/26/2008 - 01:33Hello Lisa - We checked out Tengboche Monastery and it looks amazing. So, as you guys begin the descent - no doubt your spirits will continue their ascent. What an amazing journey you're experiencing. I am in awe of the mountains seen in the pictures - absolute total awe. It's hard to imagine how it must feel to be standing up close and personal in all that Himalayan majestic beauty. Enjoy the trekking that remains - every minute. Sending Thanksgiving for all you've shared. We continue to think of you. Can't wait to hear all about this when I seen you in December. Namaste. Betsy and June
Yay for you all!
