Maura in market buying supplies like paper tissueIf you had an itinerary, throw it out. We traded in Chola Pass to go down and
around the corner to visit Pangboche Monastery. We were hurting puppies from
our encounter with Renjo Pass so opted to descend to 13,700 today to get some
oxygen for our queasy stomachs. We will still be going to Everest Base Camp in
a few days. It was very cold and windy today. We are staying near a lodge that
Kami our Sidar owns.

Hooray for our Nepal heros!

Hi Lisa, Rick and all,
How wise to throw away your itinerary and do what feels right! Your messages are SO appreciated by all your low-altitude friends and supporters! I can feel the story bag filling with treasures and look forward to them upon your return. My trip to New Mexico is appropriately low-keyed and beautiful. Think of you every day! sending love,k strength and extra O2....

VIVA NEPAL!!!

Hello to Chris, Rick, Maura, and Nepal team!!
Thank you for the fabulous updates! The audio bits are so great and it's truly wonderful hearing from each of you as you're making it to base camp. I'm thinking about you! Congratulations on how far you have come and how far you will go; you are amazing. Keep smiling and laughing--though watch out at the higher altitudes--your laughs will become gasps/snorts!--just ask Chris!

Maura, I hope you're staying warm! and Chris, don't forget: Brothers don't shake hands, brothers gotta hug! Goodbye my loooove!

Missing you all and sending you love from Brooklyn,

Hey Chris, I hope that altitude is treating you well. We are all jealous that your having such an awesome trip. Can't wait to hear about it when you get back.

Aspire! Perspire! Inspire!

Hi Gaylinn,

Your trip sounds amazing and we are absolutely enjoying every message from you and your trek-mates. Back here on the North Coast of NY, the natives are good-naturedly whining about the five inches of snow dumped in the last few hours. Everything is crisp, covered in white, and pristeen beautiful here. It makes me think of you all... in who knows what conditions today... and we are sending lots of love and prayers. Enjoy the trip. I hope someone is capturing the beauty with camera! We look forward to seeing and hearing all about it!
