Some are watching who don't know who we are. We are 4 men and 4 women between the ages of 29-52. The group is part of Pack, Paddle, Ski. We are on a 18 day trek in the Khumbu or Everest region. As of today we are still 4 men/4 women 3 yaks, 4 zsopnoks, 1 Sidir Kami, 3 sherpa, 1 cook Ram Sharam, 3 kitchen help, 3 porters. This does not include the barking dogs, random Tibetan traders and other people we encounter.
Today is a rest day meaning a short hike to prepare us for our hike from 14,300 to 17,300 tomorrow.

Kennlaff@comcast.net — Wed, 11/19/2008 - 19:41Can only imagine how breathtaking the day vistas and nightime sky must be. Glad for you all to have had a hot shower and rest before your climb to higher altitude. With you every step. Breathe. Love form CT: Betsy and June
Am sending along some of David Whyte's "Mameen" -- Remember the way you are all possibilities you can see and how you live best as an appreciator of horizons, whether you reach them or not. Admit that once you have got up from your chair and opened the door, once you have walked out into the clean air toward that edge and taken the path up high beyond the ordinary, you have become the privileged and the pilgrim, the one who will tell the story and the one, coming back from the mountain who helped to make it. -- David Whyte

Hi Lis
Gail H. Wolf — Thu, 11/20/2008 - 12:45It's Thursday morning and I'm getting ready to leave for the golf course. It's only around 47 degrees here so won't be pleasant to start but should warm up this afternoon. There wasn't an audio on the e-mail today. Glad you had another rest day before your next climb. Hope to hear your voice again. Much love, Mom
Maura!!
The Mighty Migh... — Thu, 11/20/2008 - 13:17Just so you know: I am checking in every day. Also, since you left, Lu has been out all night, every night squiring neighborhood lady-cats around town. Positively scandalous! He is a total player! I've tried talking to him, but it's of no use.
Seriously, I hope you are enjoying every minute of the trip. Can't wait to hear all about it!
