In both years we had good battery charging facilities, with both 12V DC and AC provided. IMG provided 120V AC and Asian Trekking provided 240V AC. Asian trekking supplied an international power board so that almost any plug type could be directly connected. IMG supplied a US only power board.
I thought that the radio communications was much better with IMG than Asian Trekking. Asian Trekking provided members with GMRS radios and these don’t work as well as the VHF sets (see here for detailed comparison). AT need to purchase VHF handsets for all climbers and Sherpas. If you were climbing with AT and they don’t supply them, I'd recommend buying your own on ebay for around $150 each.
