This is the text of Mike's audio message:

Well hello this is me trying my audio blog, I think for the first time.  I did try and send an update earlier through the Satphone, but am not convinced it worked so I thought at least I would put this on the PC so you can hear something for today.  I thought I would say that we are getting on really well, us four.  We are doing lots and lots of laughing.  It is a bit embarrassing really, I think people think we are on something!  So that is a very good sign and I think we will trundle on fine during the trip though it can’t carry on quite as good as this.  We are all well.  My cold is ok and is going away a bit I think, although still a bit chesty.  We are all fit and well which is all you can ask for.  We see a lot of people crawling around who aren’t so fit and well even at these heights which is always quite fascinating.  The weather has been indifferent this afternoon and there has been an electrical storm which may have contributed to difficulties in me not getting my update through.  Anyway I will go down into the village (which is a short stroll away) soon, where there are PCs available, remarkably, and see whether I have managed any sort of update at all today.  I can then maybe pick up some messages.  OK I will try this again on another occasion.  I hope you have found it interesting so far.  Bye.
