Hello!
As most of you know I summited on May 21 at 7:30 am.
I want to especially thank my wife, Sarah Wiley, and my parents Jean and Don, for being so supportive and loving. I have to say, Everest is one heck of a journey. And it is a journey not taken alone. Thank you to all my friends, colleagues, students, fellow travelers who have supported me. And it is great to hear from former folks I know from; Camp Pine Crest, Vic College, OB, RLC, STS and my latest "community" (to quote Mr. David Robertson), Shawnigan Lake School.
A final thank you to our 4 Sherpas, who have worked diligently for 2 months supporting us, whom I will write more about tomorrow.
Time for bed, I will post from BC tomorrow.
Thanks again,
Angus, Gus, Mr. Murray, Angie, Merman

Once again Congrats!

Once again - congrats Angus! This is a huge accomplishment for you and your family!! You have worked so hard to get so far (one could say to the top of the world and back!) Have a safe trip home and can't wait to get a chance to see you and your pics!

Reach for the Top

Angus,

Your goal has been achieved and the memories of the journey will be ever lasting. The experiences and struggles you encountered will serve as inspiration for all.

Heather, Shannon and I are very proud to know someone who has reached the top of the world. Have a safe and restful journey back to Shawnigan and Sarah.

Your neighbour and friend,
Ian

Angus Congradulation on

Angus

Congradulation on reaching the top of the world it must of been a heck of a climb to get there , and most important you made it back safe. Best of luck on your trip back.

Way to Go, Bro!

Nicely done, and it will be great to get a chance to speak, in real time, rather than in e-time. My colleagues here at the Science Centre have been following along, and congratulate you on the achievement! Take care on the rest of the journey, and hope to see you soon in Toronto.

Wow!..again

Just posting again to say OUTSTANDING!! It has been sinking in that you've really done it! Look forward to seeing you in person. Too bad you can't make it to the North House reunion next week. An old housemate: "... and so that's how I got into selling insurance. And what have you been up to lately Angus?"

Congratulations!

Way to go Angus! I have been reading a lot of your posts and was really happy to hear that you made the summit. You were the talk of the RLC staff work room :)

Take care and travel home safely,
Erin
