Hi everyone this is Simone (Kade's sister) I am managing his site for him. At the moment he has some troubles with his satelite connection to his PDA which is not allowing him to post his updates at the moment. We are hoping that this will only be a temporary setback but please continue to send him his messages as he will more than likely have the problem fixed asap. I have spoken to Kade about 3 times today since he has descended from his climb on Island Peak. As you would of read, he wasnt feeling the best when he came down due to the extreme altitude, however he was in much higher spirits and feeling alot better now. He is totally exhausted as to be expected and couldn't reiterate enough, just how hard the climb was. He has done a magnificent job getting as high as he did and the decision to descend was very wise indeed. Climbing the summit headwall in which ropes are fixed and using crampons and ice-picks is apparently very steep and very gruelling. Especially as it was looking like you werent even going to have a chance at even attempting what you achieved with the wild wind conditions that you were enduring!! So Kade well done you should be extremely proud. Enjoy the rest of your adventure!
Hopefully Kade will be back online to give us more real accounts of his trek. He is currently at Island Peak Base Camp and should be trekking back to Dingboche tomorrow.
Regards
Simone
