Now in Bangkok, where it is very hot/humid (sultry!), reminds me of Guyana (where I worked in 1990.)
As I looked out the window of the plane yesterday I could see the Himalayas above the clouds receding into the distance.
Who knows when I will be back... but I believe I will be. I have done a lot of travelling in the last 8 months, Banff, Nepal X 2, Tanzania, Toronto for Xmas, New York... it will be good to be home again in our small, white cottage amongst the trees (almost like an Emily Carr painting) and swim in the lake.
Anyway, I didn't age a year last night in case you were wondering.

One nite in Bangkok
Visitor — Sun, 06/01/2008 - 12:37The Lyrics to the uber tacky eighties song by ironically MURRAY Head go appropriately...One nite in Bangkok and the World's your oyster"The Bars are Temples and the Pearl's ain't free-You'll find a God in every Golden Cloister-a little flesh a little history-I can feel an angel sliding up to me...........etc watch your back bro ..quite a culture shock from the wild of Everest and Victoria after weeks of relative isolation. Looking forward to seeing you and "name that band gme" and hearing of all the adventures...off to a 100k ride to be humbled by the road..Safe home..ROD
Mr. Murray, do you have a fork?
hepworthscott — Mon, 06/02/2008 - 16:43Hey Murr,
Just been catching up on your postings. I am curious though....were there any mysterious knocks at your door in Bangkok? And did that knock result in a request for a fork? Could be some left over energy following you from Clarkson House.....Can't wait to talk to you and hear the stories.
Scott
P.S. I have only two more days of duty left!
