Unfortunately it looks as though we're not going to meet the target we set ourselves on having the spec finished before Christmas. I'm not too concerned about this as I'd much rather get it right than rush it through.
Both Brad and I have been annoying many of our close friends and family by getting them to review the interface and provide us with feedback. (I even took my laptop out to dinner the other night and had people review the website design at a restaurant before ordering their meals!)
Actually, we've designed a short test so that we can gauge people's understanding of the site and see whether the design is intuitive or not. So far, we've got some really useful feedback by doing this. On the whole the concept is met with a very positive response but lots of ideas for (mainly) small changes. Unfortunately though, it's clear that different people have very different ideas and it's often impossible to accommodate all points of view. Often the very thing that someone is confused about or doesn't like is the exact same thing that someone else praises. More difficult decisions to make!
