I'm Coming Home in less than a Week!

< Newer | Older >

Hi All,

After my morning pilgrimage to Durbar Marg, I got the same woman-though she was more helpful today.  Toronto replied and for a relatively small upgrade fee, I have a seat on an airplane.  Perhaps, I will have it bronzed :-) I leave here the morning of May 16th and arrive in St. John's after midnight on May 17 on Flight 831 Air Canada from Heathrow (arrives 0045).

I was hoping for something a little sooner of course but I'm lighter with an ending in sight-though still so weary.  Maybe what I am doing here is building up the strength to come home.  I appreciate all your words of support and ideas of how to spend the time.  I'll brainstorm with Raj to see what's possible given time and energy.  I actually have spent a fair amount of time in Kathmandu between this and other visits.

I've been writing a piece about the sounds of Kathmandu which I will post later today.

Thanks,

TA

Yeah, TA

Great news!!! Even though sooner would have been better, having an actual date allows you to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Maybe extra time in the chaos of Kathmandu will add to your piece on the Sounds of Kathmandu.

Hope you are feeling better,
MC

Proud of you

Hi TA
We, as Paul's parents, understand what you have been through...we are thinking of you and think you are very brave. Congratulations

Hang In

Not that you have a lot of choice, but hang in there, TA. Glad to hear you have scored a seat on a flight before June! Keep writing, it's good for your soul and your supporters are all going to go into withdrawal when there are no more updates. I hope you are feeling better each day. Hugs.

Relax and enjoy the rest of the journey

Congratulations TA, on everything you have done. Now that you have a firm date and seat to come home time will pass quickly but I also hope it gives you a chance to relax and see the sights and sounds of the places around you. Time to relax and get strong. Take care of yourself and have a safe trip home.

Time can be an invitation to rest

HI T.A.
I am sending you this invitation to rest/be. Could it be that the time you have before you start your journey home is the universal energy providing this opportunity to sleep, eat, drink tracking your body, with self compassion. moment to moment honoring the sensations, impulses etc.?
Have a safe trip home , loking forward to your safe return.
Janine

Light at the end

Hi TA,
wonderful news and we are so happy you have light at the end of the tunnel! Look forward to the sounds of Kathmandu!
Best, Ann and Graham

Great news

That's great TA. You have to be relieved.

Not ever having been in Nepal I can't give advice about what to do. However, having had parasites after working in Central America at one time, I would say give your body lots of rest. Don't over do the activity. Heal yourself and be ready to live it up when you get back to family and friends!

Content

Hi TA, I don't know how he did it, but my father had a knack for being content in whatever circumstances he found himself. I have practiced this and although I may never be as easy with it as he was, I have found it a good technique to get me through some difficult times. I hope you can find yourself with some contentment as you finish this visit to Nepal and come to terms with all that has happened, and in whatever happens in the future. I have followed you all along and see you have a marvelous ability to be introspective. May you also be content.

Yeah...!

Hi TA, Hope your getting a little energy. So glad to hear you're coming home at last! Your messages are so much more upbeat than they were a week ago when you were desperately trying to make a decision on whether to stay a little longer or head back down the mountain. Even when you have difficulties you can find the humour in it. The gods are with you, how else could you have gotten out of Kathmandu when all planes were booked until June sometime.
Now about coming home... 0045 hrs. hmmmm, I think that 12:45 a.m. NL time, right???... and May 17th. is a Thursday, right??? I might have to take a few hours off that morning! ....'cause I'm definitely going to be at the airport when Air Canada Flight 831 arrives.
Looking forward to your message on the sounds of Kathmandu.
Take care, Trudy
