Hi evrryone have just arrived at 5700m on island peak, its sunny, but blowing wind so hard its nearly blown us off climbing up. summit attempt will be 8am aust time tommorrow (tuesday)- 4am my time, but if wind doesn't calm down, its a no show. 4 teams have already been pushed bak from summit, so its not looking good, but crossed fingers.
if we get a chance i'll say hi to the woolsthorpe kids, when on top and to everyone else!.
thanku for all ur msgs, I’m sorry I cannot wrire more my fingers are so cold.
thinking of u all!. I’m missing everyone and I can’t believe I’m here, my record at altitude.
its minus 10 overnite and the cold bites. the scenery is stunming, huge mountains round us and the terrain is very steep n rocky.
