We are    celebrating!  The journey  has given us so much to be thankful for.  Family, friends, this  amazing beauty around us, the opportunity to travel and those here who have touched our lives.  As a way of giving thanks, many of the trekkers have decided to sponsor Dawa in school.  He is the son of Lakpa as you may remember.  Lakpa is one of our sherpas who has summitted Everest 2x.  He will go again this spring.  Twice as many sherpas die on Everest as foreign climbers.  It cost $1000/year mainly for boarding and other  school expenses.  Lisa has volunteered to oversee this project.  We will coordinate the effort through www.journeysofsolutions.org.  If you would like to know more about why we were moved to do this please talk with the trekker you know or contact Lisa at lbouchard@rochester.rr.com.  We would be moved if any of you want to share our Thanksgiving with us.
