You probably know that getting on an expedition like climbing Kilimanjaro requires a lot of preparation... all kinds of preparation.
First, I need to get physically fit in order to put all the chances on my side and maximize the possibility to get to the summit. Follow this link to learn more about my training.
There is also a lot to think of when I start packing and I'm going to ask myself what to bring or not to bring. Here are some tips to help you pack.
To prepare mentally and set my mind up for the trip and the experience, I read books. Here is a list of the books I've read.
Before I go to Africa, I also need to check with my doctor if I need special medication or shots.
Previous trips or expeditions are also counting in my preparation. Here is a detailed journal of my trip to Everest Base Camp (Nepal), Thailand and Paris (France) in the spring of 2006. You can follow the day to day details if you click here. (The journal is in french)
I've linked the subjects in order for you to read what interests you the most. If you have any questions about my preparation, feel free to ask. Maybe I didn't think about stuff that you guys wonder about.
Thank you! Bonne lecture!!!
