Summit Succes!DATE: February 10

LOCATION: Mweka Camp, 10,500. 18 hours of hiking, 4,000 up, 9,000 down.

This is our last post. It was an extremely challenging climb. Be sure to listen to Nick's audio. Tough weather!
Dan is in Moshi and doing well. Rick went down early to help with his recovery so is with him.

The group hikes out Wed. and flies out Thursday night.

All is well.

Sounds like it was a real adventure getting to the summit. Glad you are all coming down to base and out of the bitter weather! Hope to see pictures and hear stories about the climb. Weather here turns cold by the weekend, just in time for your arrival back in the states!

Wow, how did that get there! I sent a picture of the group. Cyber land found this photo somewhere out there in space, In case you are wondering, there were no kayaks on top and the water was snow. I am going to see if my admin people can replace the picture so if you dont see kayaks, dont worry, you are not crazy it is just your cyber, satellite poster who is.
