Hi everyone! It's Laura. We have been at Shalom for 9 days now. It has been such an amazing experience! One of our major tasks for the trip was to get new mattresses for all the kids. Before, all the beds were pretty beat up. The picture shows some of the kids using the new, plastic-covered mattresses. We really loved playing with and helping the kids. We will miss them a lot.

Hi Wess,

Quinn's team tied against St Joe's tonight. Quinn scored one of the two goals off a nice pass from Livy! Everyone played great. She goes to school tomorrow dressed as Ariele from the Little Mermaid. I made her a mermaid tail to wear under her dress she wore to the daddy/daughter dance. We hot glued seashells to a headband and she went to bed in curlers. Yea, yea I'll take pictures. We are supposed to get dumped on tonight...8-12 inches by morning. Quinn will NOT be happy if there is no school, she's looking forward to a BIG entrance as Ariele.

Saturday she goes to Hannah's birthday party at Paradise Cove, neon mini golf, water slides and arcade. Then a sleepover. She's making her now famous no flour cake for Hannah.

Hope you're having a wonderful time. Everyone back home is well. I'm sure you're getting the news from Ohio so there's probably not much I can add there. Here in DC - ever so glad it is Friday! And waiting for a good long catch up session - girl, no one gets stories like the one you've collected!
