Hi everyone its Dave Armstrong here with our update today.
Today was a lazy day with a 9.00am wakeup and some porridge for breakfast. We timed our day to ensure that the much craved chicken a la Kiev could be consumed at Eco Lodge in Labouche for lunch.
With full stomachs after lunch the sun was shining and it was time for our leisurely stroll for another 2-3 hours down hill to our overnight location at Pheriche.
The group is doing extremely well and looking in far better condition than the many other trekkers that we have passed over the past few days. Paul has planned for us to have a few days of light walking to rest up before tackling our last objective of Island Peak.
The air is easier to breath down here at 4278m (1000 meters lower than last night ) and the group has all had a much needed shower here at the White Yak Mountain Hut & Restaurant. (Yes even Cas and Paul A)
Some ladies just laughed at Paul Becks Ugg Boots and told him they are for girls.
Once again thanks for the support from around the world.
Best Regards.
Dave Armstrong

Hi Dad & Mary, Everything is going very well on the trip so far. It's been good to see the Gokyo lakes and to revisit base camp - it looks very different without all the tents there. We are now onto our last phase of the trip, and have a few very easy days ahead to rest up for Island Peak.
Love, Paul A.

Thanks for the daily updates - I really look forward to them. The scenery looks absolutely awesome. I have large photo prints in my office of the view from the top of Everest but your photos make it so much more real. Best of luck for the next major challenge. Love from Dad and Sue.
Hello David
Visitor — Tue, 11/13/2007 - 12:42Hi darling. Great to hear that all is going to plan.
I hear Poppy saying "where is that boys hat!!" as most pics show you minus hat. Keep in mind that you are closer to Poppy up there. Sounds like you are all having FUN. Rob is keeping a close eye on the events and he can feel a sore knee coming on me think. Nothing that exercise won't fix eh!
Keep on having a wonderful journey and love to all.
Love Mum and Rob xxx Aaron, Hayden and Nan send their love. x
