Hello there,
I will climb the Denali in May 2011 using the boots LA SPORTIVA Nepal Extreme GTX combined with 40Below Purple Haze Overboots to prevent my feet getting cold.
Do you think this would be a suitable and good combination ??

rayk — Mon, 03/28/2011 - 18:43I think it would be a mistake to use the La Sportiva Nepal Extreme even with overboots. I have been up on Denali and it is one of the coldest mountains on earth. Go with a plastic double boot or a boot/gaiter combo like the Millet Everest or La Sportiva Olympus Mons EVO. They are expensive but when you figure the "cost per toe"... not so bad!
