LOCATION:Santa Cruz Island

Dave here.  It was a tight fit.  We saw a 150 lb tortoise that was well over 100 years!  Today we  rode mt. bikes in the highlands on maybe 15 miles of rolling roads.  The heat had us at a stop at which the local girl opened the ice cream shop.  That brought us back to life.  We rolled on to spend the day at a beautiful remote beach.  The warm turquoise water contrasted with cactus and mangroves.  The Easter bunny did visit us to start our day though with hidden eggs.  Great and exotic Easter. Special hello to Debbie and Barbara and Rosie! I'm enjoying following your adventures on the blog and wish that I could be there with you. Although I'm not sure that I could have handled the waves from the sea kayaks. Have fun, take lots of pictures, and be sure to let me see them when I see you in Vermont in late May or early June.

Hey guys, Just letting you know that all is good on this half of the equator....oh yeah, Alex had a v-8..actually, 5 of them..not to worry..he is fine!!! sounds like the trip is awesome!!!
