Chris, Rocky, Denise and Paul on route high to EverestDATE: 9/12/07
LOCATION: The great Rongbuk Valley, 9 miles from Everest
EVENT: Trekking at over 16,000 feet in high dry Alpine Valleys

Hello to Hoehn family and friends:
Hiking here in Tibet. Weather all over the place, frost on the tents this morning now it is 80F! Adjusting to altitude well and hiking strong. Interacting with a lot of the Tibetian nomads. Hiked thru a Yak herd today. Had to rig a rope for a stream crossing today. Tomorrow we enter a new pass and will see Everest! The day after that Base Camp.
Every day produces a new and unexpected adventure to test our wits.
Would love to write more but limited by satellite transmission.
See you all soon,
Kevin

Keep on trekking

You are so lucky to experience all that you have. Hope I can follow in your footsteps some day and actually see the great peak of Everest. Stay strong ( in spirit not in odor) and share your stories with us at the reunion in November. Thanks for sending us photos and audio so we can drool over your trip.
