To Patrick N 02.27.08 midnight usa time

Well as you have heard it is snowing in Rochester has been all day and still doing so as I sit here in the office… It is a really pretty snowfall… where the night air is crisp and the snow is clinging to the branches…It all seems peaceful as I look out the window (midnight). I went into work today and my desk calendar photo was of giraffes, made me think of you. See any yet? Kiernan and I had a great night… Dad & Betsy came over and made us dinner… they stayed until Kiernan’s bed time…we had a nice visit and talked about you a lot… wondering what and where you are on the mountain…they are really proud of you as I am. This should be day 4 of the climb…way to go! We are all very proud of you and of everyone. Things here are going well, the Coffey’s are watching out for us and Jim is my hero as he will snow plow our driveway, in the AM, before I go to work. So, I guess I won’t be snowed in. Our week is pretty much the same as usual except for you being in Africa… and everyone asking me how it is going. I am sure this is a great experience and I hope you are writing in your journal and taking lots of photos of everything. Are you and the boys comparing who has the better beard? I just know you have a face full! (LOL) I look forward to seeing photos and hearing stories when you return… for now my imagination of your climb is interesting… I keep thinking of you every moment… and today I keep hearing one of your favorite songs… “…oh what a wonderful world.” Well keep up the great work… pace yourself and give my love to Char, Matt, Todd, Patrick F & Robin. Peace, Love, Faith, Hope, you are in my heart & prayers. Michelle & Kiernan…

Jim Thies

Hi Dad, We're checking this site everyday for updates. Enjoy hearing the audio updates. I read the D&C article, it was really nice. I've been wearing my Kili t-shirts and people have been asking me about it. Enjoy the climb. --- Laura, Johan, and Joshua

jack

Hi Jack,
Well, no school closings. Brent just left for work, he made it out of the driveway, said he will plow when he comes home.
I hope your second day of hiking is going well. I can't wait to hear about each day and all the stories I am sure you will have. Take care. I love you. Love Patty

Linda J - Just checking in

Morning from snowy Rochester. Had a great conversation with Michael (gym) yesterday and he asked me how high Kili was -- I didn't know!! So having now googled it, I'm guessing you're up above 11,000 feet by now. AS Ned said on his audio, step by step, girl!

How's the air up there?

Hope all is going well with the climb. On my way to work to get to the top of a cup of coffee while your on you're on your way to the top of a mountian!! I have to go now, getting a little out of breath.

To Patrick N 02.27.08 6:54 am USA time

Well I am off to work... Kiernan & I will be thinking of you as you continue your wonderful climb. Take time to enjoy every step...this is a great thing you are doing. Give my hellos and I will chat via this blog later. Love you much!

Hi, Ned

The snow is piling up but Ed is a great neighbor so we are fine. Since you left you have received three more donations and a mountain of good wishes. I decided that anyone who could ride across the country in six weeks can surely climb this "lil old hill," right? Sending lots of love & hugs. Louise

Tina

I love reading everyones stories. Great job everyone!!!!! Tina everything seems to be going well here! We are thinknig of you every day and praying too. Can't wait to see your picture and hear your stories. Keep up the great work!!!! you can do it!!

Patrick N.

Hi, Pat! Just a quick note to let you know that we're thinking of you and your fellow climbers. Hope this experience is everything you hoped it would be. As Michelle said we went over last night and had dinner. It was a really pleasant evening and Kiernan is a sketch. They're both doing well; missing you of course, but doing well. We'll look forward to hearing all about your trip and seeing the pics. God speed and take good care. Love you, Dad & Betsy

To: Kevin

I've posted a couple of messages, but they never seem to appear on rerun. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, I'm second guessing every move, and want to be with you--I think. Enjoy--appreciate, and come home to tell us all about the trip. Your companions sound great. Lots of love--Mom

David Coleman

Hi Dave! Suzie just sent me this site, and I'm so happy to learn I can correspond with you on your journey!!
Gosh, after reading everyone's accounts of the "Kili" climb, I'm happy knowing you will probably do better than most because of your passion and love, and several "past-hikes" under your belt after so many years. NEVER in my wildest dreams could I imagine that one day you would actually HIKE Killimanjaro! WOW, you GO DUDE! I'm over here praying for your safety. KNOW that! God will get ALL of you through this wonderful journey because of your love and passion for mankind and the WANT to help others. Best of Luck, Buddy! I am looking forward to MANY pictures and details of your incredible experience!
Love,
Chele :o) xo
