To all the climbers - Awesome job so far. Glad to hear you are geting so close and everyone is still in it. All that practice hiking is paying off.
Jim - you sound a little short of breath - heck you always sounded a little short anyway - ha - hope your sense of humor is still intact.
Hope everyone is taking lots of pics and video. I am looking forward to a some sort of fundraiser/picture show so all of us back here can re-live the adventure when you all get back.
French Fries? And No Chicken Wings? What's up with that?

Hi from your tribe,
It's friday afternoon and all is well! Ryan going to Mimi,s and Patrick going to
a friends Nick..... so just me and Chris...... We are shooting for a record
keeping the fire burning !!! Hasn,t gone out yet. It was ZERO here last nite......
Still got lots of snow but it's suppose to get up to 40 next week so by the time
you get here it will probably be gone..... We are doing good except for some
school work,ya know, I have to try and figure out what, where and when........
so you will probably have to play catch up !!! Patrick is helping out and stepping
up to the plate, and ya know Ryan and Chris are being Ryan and Chris.......
Tho they are going to bed at night and going to sleep!!!!! I threatened them
with writing "I will stay in bed" 50 times (ha,ha)...Anyway it's worked so far!!
I showed them pictures from Google Earth of Mt.Kili (they have lots) and they
were very interested....We love you and pray for your safe return.I hope you are

I don't know exactly how your preparations are going to wake you for your nighttime climb to the summit, but maybe a flurry of messages will boost your energy levels. Plato would encourage you with, "The best is yet to come". My thoughts mimic his in that your whole experience on the mountain shows one discovery after another and the very best one at the top. Your efforts are giving all of us (those of us not hiking) strength to reach our goals. You see, this is a two way affair. Enjoy peace at the top (that surmountable summit).

It's leap day and the girls are enjoying a tea date thinking about you and checking-up on your climb. There is nothing new going on here. We just finished our first 5 day work week in quite awhile! Oh, your poor, poor teacher friends! Conference days on the horizon.
Paul, all of your wives miss you and hope that you are taking good care of yourself for us. We speak of you regularly.

Really, we miss you both, think of you every day and we are excited to read about your progress. Keep up the good work!

Friday night here in livonia around 5 o'clock Teagan is getting ready for dance and Aubrey well Aubrey is just doing what she does on friday nights! haha It is hard to believe that it has been a week already! Hey, how's the air? I imagine it's a bit less smoggey than outside TK's pizza on the canal. Are they serving any pizza or Buffalo wings on this trek? Carrie got her whig Wednesday. It is very much like what she had before. She, I believe, is on this trip with you but she is spending way too much energy & is exhausted, but likely in front of where all y'all are. So step lively & keep up the pace. When all y'all git up dare, look Westward & wave. Use the Queen's style, ya know closed hand with a slight gentle twist of the wrist. Be Cool about it. And Look for us we will be waving back. I will likely be wearing a long sleeve shirt. Probably blue. Do you get to toast the event at the pinnacle? What is available, maybe goat's milk?

hey tina! breathing deep for you here. keep going, girlfriend. is it as exciting as when we sank the boat in the lake? i found some recent sat pics showing a women's restroom/bath at 17,000, an o2 bar at 18,000 and a starbucks just before the summit! not bad! been chatting with pat about your 007 phone updates. sometimes he shares information, sometimes he's too busy watching hockey. i will speak with him tomorrow about priorities. from the sounds in the background the girls appear to be quite healthy. wishing you only well, tremendous love and strength for every step. wish i was climbing right next to you. how proud i am to call you my friend...course i always have been. kisses & joy to swifty and that funny looking paul guy. xxoo, your bestest b
