Hey guys! So excited to be able track your progress. We wanted to let you know we are thinking of you and sending our love and and prayers. Just thinking how far you have come since the "wandering fools" days! Keep us posted on the progress. Wish we were there to share in the awesome experience. Be careful and God speed. Love ya, Janet and Matt
Hi Ned,
Everyone at CDS is anxious to hear about your trek. We are all so proud of you taking on this adventure and are keeping all of you in thoughts and prayers.
It must be exhilerating to be one with the mountain... Are there any conflicts on the mountain Ned? If so I am sure you will face them undaunted.
We're very excited to hear all is going well and that this is a "life altering" experience. All is well here at home. The children are terrific, very busy and missing you. We are keeping pace with the "new generation" of busy schedules and pick up times. No worries, be happy! Michelle was overjoyed to hear from Pat and she called everyone! Love to all, Ginny & Chuck
Hi Mom,(Kathi B)
Good to hear your voice. I'm excited for you. Talk to Tommi and Mya today. We were like "our mom is climbing an effin mountain right now". Were all thinking about you. tell the gang we all said hi. Be safe.
We love you,
Marshall, Megan, Tommi, Ralf, Mya, and Dad.
PS: Megan and I got engaged!!!
This question really is for anyone who might know....I was viewing all of your photos and saw Chris. Chris if you're out there, what is your last name? Because you look very familiar to me and I think I know you.
Anyways...good luck to everyone out there! Keep up the good work!
Linda J - how's it going? Can't wait to read your next update...
If you are looking at the pictures of the Chris (topher) from the JOI group, he is my son Chris Stager. He attended Canandaigua Academy graduating in 1995, attended Lockhaven University, PA as a Physician's Assistant and is currently working in Boston's St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Cardiac Surgery. He is climbing the Machame Route.
You are half-way there!!!!!!!!!!!What a great adventure already. No matter where I go folks ask about you and the group. With all the publicity, you are all celebrities. Talked to Barb last night and she is doing very well, recovering nicely & returning to work & rehearsals earlier than expected. Keep up the good work and God Speed. Love, Louise & Molly
Impressive!!! So glad you are doing well. You should be so proud of every step you've taken! What an adventure and accomplishment already. Stay safe!
Alison
It is so wonderful to be getting the latest news. Are you taking extra Hikes? Sounds like the group is awestruck with the whole experience. How could it be otherwise. I think I heard Jim laugh today when the speaker could not name the last person that was there.Blessing are with you all. L Sr.d

Hi Lynette,
I hope that the road has been rising up to meet you and that the wind is at your back and all the rest of the Irish Blessing, for that matter. I have been thinking of you and all of your walking partners. I wish you lightness in your step as you continue your journey. Sending positive thoughts and energy.
Your friend,
Char
Day 4 hike I am sure is almost ended. Glad to hear all is going well. Sending you positive thoughts and energy. Also prayers for the last days as you start to summit. I love you. Love Patty
I think of you many times every day as you climb "over the hill". :) Being able to hear audio and read written updates is amazing. I checked the USA weather map and the weather in Wyoming is perfect for outdoorsmen! Hugs to you. You Go Girl!!!!!!! Love, Lynne
Hi Patrick well It is starting Leap Day here which means you are ending you day and getting ready for March 1st… The day to the summit… pretty exciting… I find it interesting that you all will be hiking up to the summit on the first day of March…. “Marching” toward your goals. It is pretty wonderful all that you have accomplished. You should be very proud of yourself yet I am sure you are humbled at the same time. This is a great thing you are doing … you have gone way beyond the Mission of JOI:
To create a community of people whose lives have been affected by Cancer
To strive to develop support for each other, spread awareness, fund the Cancer fight and celebrate the beauty and goodness in life
You have touched all of our hearts back here in Rochester and across the many states. Given support, awareness and a great reason to fight and remember those who have and are fighting against cancer. There is beauty and goodness in not only life but in All of you! Thank you for giving us a way to reach out and be one big family. Know that Your mom and all those who have passed on from cancer will be watching over you and walking with you to the summit along with God and we back here at home are sending you prayers along the way. May this message bring you Love, Faith, Hope and Encouragement to take one step at a time and protection on the rest of this journey of inspiration. I love you Patrick (everything about you)!
Enjoy the climb and everyone else too. Have fun. Please let the porters and the leaders of the pack know that I thank them for taking great care of you all and for giving you a memory of a lifetime. ENJOY! 143 :)
I hope you're both feeling good and having a great time. It really is such a wonderful thing you're doing. Soon you'll be at the peak and see that amazing view.
Hey you two... here is an email message from Wild Bill: “...I'm glad they're doing well....hopefully, we'll be able to celebrate when they get home. Please tell them good luck for me if you talk to Pat and make sure they don't make the locals carry them..... Good thing Todd missed the ND / Syr basketball game....” well there you go... Have fun at the TOP! Get great photos of the Summit (maybe a 360 view?) You are in my thoughts & Prayers.... Love & Light to you both, Michelle N
Just wanted to say how proud I am that you made it through day 4!! Hope the hip is cooperating - and that you are finding oxygen!!! The view must be spectacular!! Keep warm and safe!! What a HUGE accomplishment!!!
Much love,
Chris
I have been doing the best I can to keep track of this adventure...But I can't wait for pictures when you return. I am sure that Mya was so happy to hear Nanna's voice! I also love the picture of you and her on the site...she is so cute. Congrats to Marshall and Megan....I just read his posting...and by the way, I am with him on this one...."an effin mountain?!?!?!"...it is still hard to believe (and it cracked me up!!!).....
Hola, que pasa, q'est que c'est, cazzi vous....wow, must be good times, good times! Are you wearing rain gear for moisture or warmth....and do you save the forks like you do in the Alps? Apparently no gas problems so you got that goin for ya. Excellent! Whasup with those two, Marshall and Megan, getting engaged while you're climbing an effin mountain in Africa? That's way messed up. Well, keep climbing like you mean it! Excellent work. Hugs, your wayward daughter.
Best wishes from your friends at 6 Old Farm Circle. You and your group inspire us to be better and do better with our lives. I presume you are seeing wonderful things - keep up the journey, we are with you in spirit.
Love, Rick & Sandy
