Great!

Glad to hear you made it to EBC safe and sound! Now i guess you could say you get to "relax" for the next couple of weeks, but probobly not because there is so much more training to do espically since your actually there now. The view from EBC must be amazing. Stay safe, have fun, and keep pressing on!

Hi Pat!
You sound so clear as if you are down the street at a coffee shop hanging out! It is so crazy to imagine that you are really so far away! The view must be wonderful, we can only hope to see it some day. Have fun, settle in and we look forward o hearing more from you and all the bloggers!

(as I type, my view is of the gorgeous green that has enveloped my backyard as spring is here for sure, blooming in horse country!)

GO PAT GO

Hi Pat!
Glad to hear you are safe and well. We are thinking of you and Carol too. We are enjoying your updates and as always, you amaze us. It has been cold here and everytime I say, "I'm so cold", I think of YOU and laugh:) Columbia cold or Everest cold...you win! Richard is ready to have cocktails with you and we both look forward to seeing you soon.
Take care

The next stage begins

Hey Pat
I wish you the best as you "get your feet wet" in the Icefall. It must be awesome to meet people from all over the world at EBC. This is part of the experience that makes this adventure so amazing. Climbing Everest will be an adventure that you will treasure your lifetime. Enjoy the moments!

Continued success,

Pat, you sound great! Must be humbling, looking up, from where you. How're you feeling? David

Yahoo, this is so cool. Basecamp must be an amazing place with people from all over the world. We love hearing your voice, you sound good and happy. We look forward to your updates. Michele

Base Camp

Hi Patrick: It is great to hear that you are now at Base Camp. I'm sure that's a great feeling. I guess this is where the real adventure begins! Be safe and enjoy. Take care, Lisa

This is soooo Cool!

Pat, I work with Carol and followed this through her. She recently gave me this site so that I could read your blogs, and keep up. I listened to your audio about arriving at basecamp. I think that is so cool. My husband and I have been watching others climb Everest through the Discovery Channel and some of the things you've written about we have heard through this so this is very interesting to both of us. I wish you the best of luck on your journey up the summit! I know your friend Sean that you are taking with your on this journey is with you in spirit, as well as part physically. May God bless and keep you safe during this time! Belinda Inabinet

Base Camp! WoooHooo

Pat, you sound great! I'm glad you made it safely to EBC. I can only imagine the beauty you must be seeing as you look at the icefall and the mountains! What fun to meet so many others from all over the world who have the same goal!! Have a wonderful trek into the icefall and be CAREFUL! TA (another climber on this Everest blog), posted pictures of the icefall (and crevices yikes) and they are amazing! We are proud of you! What an amazing life changing adventure you are having!

Climb safe Pat!

Congratulations Pat! You're now where I'm sure so many have dreamed to be, just even getting to Base Camp! I'm looking forward to hearing about your practice on the icefall - the documentaries I've seen about Everest have made the icefall sound very interesting. Take care, and climb safe!

EBC - Great to hear you

It's always so wonderful to hear your voice and know that you are well. Enjoy the icefalls!! From the pics I'm not sure that I could cross those ladders.
No computer this weekend so will check in again on Monday.

Hello pat I'm a student of Mr. Geuer's grade six class. Today friday april 13 mr. geuer started to talk about you and showed us your blog and listened to your voice online. if i were to ever climb mount everest i probably could not even make it to the basecamp. anyway i wanted to wish you a good trip and good luck and say that what you have already done and what you are about to do are some of the most incredable and in my case scary things a person can do but you have done 6 and started on the 7 so i wish you great luck and i really hope that it is a succesful journey and a great adventure!!!!!!!!

From your friends student: Lisa Phinney i wish you good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
