Ok, you definitely sound better now! You'd better make it home in one piece and with all parts in tact! Carol would truly be upset if you didn't so be careful going down to basecamp. Carol looked and truly sounded better yesterday and excited to possibly have you come back home within 10 days. I know she has been your biggest supporter through all of this and has missed you probably as much as you have missed her. This has been a joint effort from both of you. It takes someone like Carol to help your dreams come true. I have suggested to her that maybe somehow there's a way we can contribute to the scholorship each month where our accounts are drafted so we can keep your goal alive long after you return. Belinda
Bravo, Pat! You've made everyone who knows you feel proud. Thanks for taking the time to send your email and audio blog messages; they gave us continuous vicarious thrills. Stay safe and come home and tell us more.
Pat,
I am so thankful that you made it to Camp 2 and please stay safe the rest of the way down!!! Ashlyn and I have been refreshing our computer to see your message every night. She was so excited that you made it to the top of Everest, I wish I could have taken a picture of her face when I told her that morning after reading the message that Carol left on the blog!! I hope we can get together one day and you can tell us about your trip and share some photos. I wish you well on your trip back to Irmo, South Carolina also!! Stay safe and let me know when you are ready to help out with my panel hearings. I will give you a COUPLE of weeks to rest!! LOL!

friend of anna's here. just wondering if she made it to the summit? knowing anna, the answer is likely yes. hope everyone gets down safe and well, and congratulations to you all. suzyx
Pat looking forward to hearing you're safety down- amazing goal achieved. Congratulations my friend- look forward to hearing all the fantastic details.
Start hydrating. Hugs, Nat
Hey Pat
Thanks for the audio update - you come in loud and clear, but I have trouble hearing Mike (softer on my computer anyway). Rest up and hydrate (so you can be as proud of your "bottle" as Mike is! ha!). It sounds like Mike had a great day - and I am sure hydration has helped with that. Will continue to send you positive thoughts and strength through your journey back to BC. Glad to hear you are taking it slow and steady. We want you back in one piece - alive and kicking!
Bonnie
A big hug to you!! It's great to hear your voice and to hear that you are safe at Camp 2. Please take it slow and safe across the icefall. Will breathe easier once we hear that you are at base camp.
Hope to see Carol this weekend as we are going to our lake property in Abbeville this weekend.
Stay hydrated!!
Love,
Joan and Daryl
and that you are following Mike's example and hydrating adequately and that the wind and cold abates allowing you somewhat more comfortable conditions for your peaceful return to base camp. Take it slow & easy as I am sure you will, enjoy the sights, look forward to your continuing narrative and images..Be Safe

We're so happy that you summitted safely - what an amazing accomplishment! Such a rare blessing to LITERALLY be on top of the world; no one is more deserving of it than you. Now...be safe and take good care on your way back down. We're looking forward to seeing you and celebrating with you on your return! Bev
You guys obviously worked so hard for this well deserved summit of the highest mountain in the world. So proud of you guys!!! You are tough, courageous, diligent, and come prepared. What I love the most is that you all had a dream and you pursued it. Fantastic! You are all inspirations!
Now, one final trip through the Icefall. As you are reading this, I am assuming you have made your way down the Icefall and are safe and sound at BC!!!
The best,
MC

Hey Pat, you are sounding a hell of alot better than than the last time I talked to you. Get some rest, eat well and get to basecamp. Looking forward to hearing about your proposal for the Summit Scholarship.
Seeing you reach your goal certainly encourages me that I can reach my more modest summit (getting through this program). You certainly are an inspiration. Be safe and come home soon!
