We're getting close to 2000 ratings now! Since we launched our Spread the Word promotion, the response has been phenomenal. We're getting new members signing up and lots of new ratings. In fact some days, we've been averaging a new rating every 8 minutes. (In case you haven't heard about this, check it out here - you can get vouchers for your own ratings as well as for the ratings that anyone you refer enters.)

Helping People Find Terrific Businesses
It's great to hear stories about how more and more people are now to use WOMOW to find businesses too.  Here are a couple of examples that I've come across (if you know about more, please let me know)...

"At Get Wines Direct you can taste every single wine they have in the store. Try before you buy - great!! Get wines direct is basically a warehouse that sells wine from various wineries. They buy wholesale, usually at the end of a season/ end of bin, so that they buy cheap and sell cheap. They have great cleanskins and great variety. Sometimes you have to be lucky to get a really really really good bargain as the fantastic deals sell out quickly. However generally speaking you can almost always get a bargain or sorts. Great place to go to stock up the wine rack and buy some great quaffas."

Remezzo, Ormond by Garlicook from Bentleigh
"We just came back from dinner at Remezzo and cannot rave enough about it. We found it here in Womow and what a find! The service is excellent, the food terrefic and the prices were less than expected for this kind of quality. It looks like we were lucky to get a table, so reservations are recommended. A bit loud but worth putting up with considering the rest. We spoke to Harry, the owner, and you can tell that this place is a labour of love. Our new favorite!"

Taste of Siam Thai, Hampton by Tracy from Brighton
"We found this place on WOMOW and thought we'd give it a try for some takeaway instead of our usual local Thai place. It just shows how useful WOMOW is because I've driven past this place heaps of times and never ever noticed it. The food was really good and rivals many of the more expensive Thai places in the area. The peanut sauce on the chicken satays was great, the Basil & Garlic chicken was great, and one of my all time favourite dishes, the Thai Beef Salad was also very nice."

ACMI, Melbourne by Moonshae from Malvern East
"ACMI (the Australian Centre for the Moving Image) is fantastic. I have only been to their cinema, not any of their exhibits, but the tiny taste of their features has wetted my appetite for more. I've been to two of their Freaky Friday cult movie screenings and have really enjoyed seeing these lesser known movies on a big screen. The seats are comfy, the staff helpful and friendly and the tickets are cheap."

Lanes Edge Cafe & Bar, Melbourne by EmmaC from Gisborne
"Lanes Edge is a quaint little cafe situated at the top end of Bourke Street. You can sit inside or out - but I recommend outside in the cute courtyard (which is heated in winter time!). The food is great and very reasonably priced, and the service is very friendly. An overall enjoyable experience which I continue to return to again and again."
