  There seems no point in re-inventing the wheel on this site, and Paul Adler himself has prepared an excellent page about the mountain in some detail, with some questions and answers that are mostly relevant to my own situation, and with which I broadly agree etc....so why not take a look at www.myeverest.com/node/386 , and indeed, explore the rest of Paul's own part of the site if you haven't already.
