Hi It's Paul Adler here in Namche Bazaar. Today we have walked from Pangboche to Namche, a 4.5 hour walk. It's a brief update today as we are all a little tired from the past few days of walking and climbing.

Pangboche
We all noticed that the weather was a lot warmer in Pangboche than what we had become accustomed to up higher. Everyone also said it was much easier to sleep last night as well.

We all tried potato pancakes with nak cheese and chilli, which was a new experience for the guys. Nak cheese is extremely strong smelling, so you need to be able to appreciate this. Potato pancakes are reputed to give you stomach upsets, but I have eaten them from this lodge before without any problems. Hopefully this time it will also be the same!

Namche
It's quite crowed here at Camp de Base in Namche. In fact the water ran out on me as I was trying to have my first shower in about a week. But I continued for the sake of the other guys who had already showered!

Tomorrow we are going to Lukla and then if the weather holds up we will fly to Kathmandu.

Cheers, Paul A.

Thanks for all your messages.
Hi Simone, Thanks for following along. We were very lucky with the weather on summit day and throughout the whole trip. It's really been amazing. Cheers, Paul A.

Hi Liane & students, Great to have you guys following along again. Paul A.

Hi MC, You should definitely try Island Peak, I think it's quite safe and worth doing. I'll do a write up on it, with what I have learnt from this trip.

Hi All
Thank you for all your messages. Stefano we will do one together soon. The pictures look more scary than the real thing.
We all got to a nice lodge in Namche tonight, with on suite showers, unfortunately the hot water ran out before it was my turn...but it will be warm again in a few hours.
I would also like all of u to tell me if I should shave before coming back to London, or leave the beard on so you can see it first before i shave it off....let me know
Cheers all

Hi guys! My computer crashed just when you reached Island Peak base camp. I've been dying to know what happened so I stopped by the local library to catch up. So glad to hear you all made it to the summit OK. Congratulations!

Chocolate Chocolate Pastries

Hey Guys,
It feels good doesn't it. You have conquered and now enjoy the fun on the way home.
One last bit of fun you must do before you leave Namche is go to the bakery.

After we did Island Peak we invaded the bakery in Namche. I remember having at least 3 Chocolate Danish Pastries with milk coffee. mmmmmmm.
If you get the chance, do it.

All the best and congrats,
